Laplace teen makes top 10 women on ''American Idol''
Dave Cohen Reporting
A Louisiana teen is one of the female finalists on Fox TV's American Idol.
Her name is Breanna Steer, she's 18 years old and she's from Laplace.
After her performance that aired on Wednesday night, the judges selected her as one of the top ten women in the singing competition.
"Right now a record deal could go out, shoot videos, be number one on the charts," Judge Nicki Minaj told Steer.
"I loved that song... I liked the whole vibe you had going on," Judge Keith Urban said.
"Extremely marketable, gorgeous and talented," was how Idol Judge Mariah Carey described Steer.
Randy Jackson, a judge from Louisiana said, "I would sign (you) right away... you got the whole package."
She has an exotic look and Minaj told her she was "sexy on a stick."
Minaj asked her about her background.
"Honduran, black, Creole, a lot of stuff," Steer responded.
