Police want help finding man seen near shop where gunman shot cop



New Orleans Police are asking for help finding a man they think may be able to help them find the shooter who left an officer seriously injured.

A notice says, "The subject possibly has knowledge in regards to a police involved shooting.  The subject was seen at the corner of Poland and St. Claude Avenue, more specifically the bus stop located on the lake side of St. Claude, on Saturday, February 23, 2013, between 6:30 AM and 7:05 AM."
 
Detectives ask anyone who recognizes the man in the composite image above to notify Detective Sergeant Catalanotto at 504-658-6800 or anonymously to contact CrimeStoppers at 504-822-1111 or toll free at 1-877-903-7867.

Police describe the "person of interest" as follows:

Black Male, around 29-31 years of age, approximately 5'9'' in height, approximately 140-160 pounds, thin build, brown complexion, inch wide chin strap beard, no mustache, blue jacket and blue jeans.
