2 women missing more than a week, last seen in French Quarter

The NOPD is asking for the public's help in finding two women last seen in the French Quarter more than a week ago.

The two women are separate "missing persons" cases.

Jessica Pratt (above, left) reportedly came to New Orleans from Iowa for Mardi Gras "to work in Gentlemen's Clubs," according to a Facebook page set up to help locate her.

NOPD Officer Garry Flot says Pratt's brother says she came to New Orleans on February 6, and was last known to have been staying at a hotel in the 2800 block of Tulane Avenue on February 7.  Police say Pratt suffers from an unspecified medical condition and she may need her medication.

Pratt is described as a Caucasian female, 5'7” tall 120 pounds, and shoulder length blond hair and hazel eyes.  She has a tattoo of a cross on her right hand, a heart on her left hand and the initials JP on her ankle.

In the second case, police are asking for the public's assistance in locating 38-year-old Angela Melancon, who was last seen on February 4th just after midnight leaving work in the 100 block of Bourbon Street.  Melancon has not been seen nor heard from since.

Melancon (above, right) is described as a Caucasian female, approximately 5’6” in height, approximately 110 pounds and having long black hair with brown eyes.  Melancon has a tattoo of a rosary on her right abdomen, a tattoo of a halo on her left wrist and a tattoo of a halo with wings on the back of her neck.  Melancon also has piercings on her right eyebrow and a lip piercing on her bottom lip.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of either woman is asked to call Crimestoppers 821-2222.
