The mayor of New Orleans sure sounds like a happy man, if not somewhat relieved, that the Super Bowl is over. Despite the power glitch in the Superdome, Mitch Landrieu says he doesn't think the 34-minute power failure during the Super Bowl will hurt New Orleans' chances of getting the NFL's championship game in 2018.
Landrieu said '' We love when people love us and we love to host and I'm going to tell you we rocked it.''
Landrieu just can't say enough about the team effort that involved thousands of people from the police to the volunteers and noted how New Orleans was praised.
''The owners of other teams, well, their jaws dropped and they said I don't think we can do this and we said you can comeback in 2018, don't worry about it,'' he said.
The 2018 direct reference to when what Landrieu hopes will be the cites next shot at hosting a Supercool in time for the cites tricentennial. On the power outage, Landrieu joked that the game got better after the blackout. He said it was getting boring, and fans were leaving. ``We had to do a little something to spice it up,'' he said.
