Feasting for Super Bowl

It's estimated that Super Bowl Sunday ranks second only to Thanksgiving when it comes to the mass consumption of food.  In a town that lives to eat, we found folks in the CBD anxious to share their plans for game-day feasting.

''Gumbo and jambalaya and all the local favorites,'' said one woman about her game-time menu.

''More or less a nice barbecue with ribs and some homemade cornbread dressing,'' said a man in downtown.

Another fan told us she'll be enjoying the game amid seafood: ''A crab and crawfish boil, anything New Orleans like that.''

Several vendors said that crawfish have been surprisingly available so early in the season, but also kind of pricey, anywhere from $3.00 to $4.00 a pound for boiled.  Live mudbugs can be found as low as $2.50 per pound.
