Blow-out party for international Super Bowl media

There was a huge party for members of the media who are in New Orleans to cover Super Bowl events and it was probably one of the biggest gathering of its kind ever to take place in the city.

At Mardi Gras World the national and international media enjoyed local delicacies and lots of free adult beverages. Barry Kern, owner of the venue who is also on the Super Bowl Host Committee says "There's five to six thousand people here tonight; 4,000 international media, a thousand North American media as well as about a thousand NFL and state and city officials."

There were 15 bands and Kern tries to explain how big this event is saying there are "46 local restaurants serving incredible food throughout the venue...We're in the Float Den, the Mansion out back, we got an outdoor stage, we got the Grill Queen parked out back on the riverfront."

Plus party-goers got to enjoy acrobats, cheerleaders, a float making demonstration and an open bar.

Some of the NFL officials from New York say they're amazed and grateful for New Orleans outstanding hospitality and believe this is a great venue for Super Bowl.
