Super Bowl fever spreads to the coast

The Super Bowl may end up being even a bigger draw than anticipated. With hotel rooms in New Orleans sold out, the spillover to the Mississippi Gulf Coast is well underway and tourism officials there couldn't be happier.

Linda Hornsby is director of  the Mississippi Hotel and Lodging Association and says they're offering free bus rides on Super Sunday for those who book a two night stay. It's something they did for the BCS Championship last year.

''We started out with one bus, hoping we would fill it, we ended up sending 15 buses over,'' said Hornsby.

Listen to Linda Hornsby:

She says the bookings continue at a rapid pace and the Casinos appear to be a big draw, even for fans coming down without tickets to the game.

''Gosh, we're already seeing a huge impact and with each passing day, with every hour of everyday we're seeing an increase.''

She says the economic impact is going to be tremendous at a time of the year which is usually slow for them.
