Lots of Super Bowl events for locals to enjoy

Don't have tickets to the big game?  Don't worry, there's still a lot of locals to enjoy in the days leading up to the Super Bowl.

The National Football League produces the NFL Experience at the Morial Convention Center.  "It's an exciting interactive experience for members of the family, all ages.  That's $25 for adults, and $20 for children and that will be open Wednesday through Sunday morning at the convention center," says Mark Romig with the Super Bowl Host Committee.

The updated list of NFL players available to sign autographs during the NFL Experience is below, including quite a few former and current Saints players.

A free concert series starts at Woldenberg Park on Thursday.  Romig says "The Verizon Super Bowl Boulevard which is located at Woldenberg Park will begin Thursday and run through Sunday."

Romig says that's also the location of the iconic numerals which now appear at every Super Bowl.  "They'll be docked along the riverfront on barges at Woldenberg Park."

You can also try to catch some of your favorite shows broadcasting from Jackson Square, maybe catch a glimpse of a celebrity or two in the French Quarter, or just people-watch as fans descend on the Crescent City.

Rolling Stone magazine is hosting the Jeep Hero's tailgate party before the game. Tickets start at $400 and include drinks and food.  Organizers say it will be "a multi-dimensional effort built around the Jeep brand's "Heritage of Heroes" campaign that honors those who carry us to victory.  The Jeep Heroes Tailgate will feature four hours of non-stop entertainment, including a performance by Grammy winners The Roots of Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. Tickets are available for the public."

The festivities will run from noon - 4 pm on Sunday, Feb. 3 and organizers say the tailgate party will feature "Celebrated New Orleans specialties, special celebrity guests and tailgate-inspired activities for all. As its special guests, the Jeep brand has invited service members to enjoy a weekend of activities in New Orleans, including attending the tailgate and the big game."

The Jeep Heroes Tailgate will take place at Generations Hall, 310 Andrew Higgins Drive.

And a party that organizers is becoming a Super Bowl staple is open to locals who want to buy tickets.
