For the people organizing the city's Super Bowl planning, now is the time they are working the hardest.
"We're not getting ready for the Super Bowl, the Super Bowl is here," Super Bowl Host Committee Co-Chair James Carville told WWL First News.
He says they are working him hard, "like a rented mule."
Carville says it has been a lot of work.
"This is like a presidential campaign," he insisted.
He noted that the years of planning and intense work in the past few month and weeks are in the home stretch and so far things have gone very well.
"We're like the guy who jumped out the window of a 40 story building, and we're at going about the 20th floor and saying, 'So far so good.'" Carville said. "The concrete is approaching, so let's see what happens when we get there."
