However, the WWL-TV forecast center says any frozen precipitation tonight will be in the form of light sleet or flurries, with little or no accumulation expected. The weather is not expected to cause any problems on roadways.
The cold upper level low that is bringing the extra-cold temps will be moving through before daybreak on Thursday morning.
While northern Tangipahoa, Washington Parish, and southwest Mississippi could see flurries and/or sleet, south of the lake the precipitation should remain liquid.
