LSU's SEC home opener is not an easy one. The 11th ranked Florida Gators will be in the PMAC on Saturday for a 3 PM tip. The Gators are 11-and-2 and coming off a 33-point win over Georgia.
Florida features one of the top defenses in college basketball. They are only allowing 52 points a game, which is the fourth best mark in the country. Florida's full-court press is forcing on average, 15 turnovers a contest.
Obviously that's not good news for LSU, who is coming off a game where they scored a season low 63 points in a loss to Auburn. The Tigers shot 37% from the field and the Tigers' leading scorer, Shavon Coleman, was held to a season-low four points.
Starting power forward Johnny O' Bryant had six points, as he was saddled with foul trouble in the 2nd half. O' Bryant is also still nursing a high ankle sprain, which Coach Johnny Jones said contributed to the sophomore's performance against Auburn.
