Police investigate Slidell's first homicide of 2013

Slidell police are investigating their first homicide of 2013. A suspect, from New Orleans, is in custody.

Slidell Police found 21-year-old Warren Pryor (pictured) dead, with two bullet wounds in his head, in the parking lot of Chase Bank on Gause Blvd. late last night.  Chief Randy Smith says the suspect is in custody in New Orleans.

"We understand there was an outstanding warrant for his arrest for another homicide in the New Orleans area that occurred a couple of days ago," Smith told WWL First News.

Smith said the victim's burned out car was discovered in New Orleans.

"It was set on fire and recovered by the New Orleans Police Department...shortly before this suspect turned himself in."

Smith said the vehicle is being processed for evidence.
