Scalise: Reid needs to apologize, not clarify

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid has done some damage control after making statements that insulted lawmakers from Louisiana.  It's not good enough for at least one congressman.

Reid now says he "misspoke" when he took to the floor of the Senate Friday and said, "The people of New Orleans and that area, they were hurt; but nothing in comparison to what happened to the people of New England."

Congressman Steve Scalise of Metairie says admitting his mistake without apologizing just adds "insult to injury."
"I think it still shows that he's got an incredible - not only ignorance of what happened down here - but an incredible insensitivity to the victims of Hurricane Katrina," Scalise said.  "He really owes an apology to all of the people who took offense to it, and many including myself took tremendous offense to his statements."
