Louisiana Crawfish Farmers Association Executive Director Stephen Minvielle says at the start of the season you'll typically see small mudbugs with hard shells, but this year they're nice and big.
He says crawfish farmers are off to a great start, with a lot more mudbugs coming into the market over the next few weeks.
Minvielle estimates that Louisiana accounts for more than 95 percent of US crawfish production.
He says the farmers are hopeful this season will be great for crawfish in Louisiana.
