Orpheus today announced the krewe's celebrity monarchs for the 20th anniversary parade. Spokeswoman Renee Maxwell says the krewe's co-founder, Harry Connick Jr. will headline the parade and Orpheuscapade celebration afterward.
"Additional celebrity monarchs this year include Gary Sinise..., Mariska Hargitay..., Trombone Shorty..., and Tillman the Skateboarding Bulldog," Maxwell told WWL First News.
Sinise is currently on CSI: New York. His past successes include Forrest Gump, The Green Mile, and Apollo 13.
Hargitay is one of the stars of Law and Order: Special Victims Unit. Connick recently played an assistant district attorney on the show.
Maxwell noted, "I think we will be the first Superkrewe to ever feature an animal on the float itself."

Maxwell says Connick will also be releasing a new song about the krewe's signature float, the Smokey Mary; and the krewe will throw light up beads that play the chorus of the song, "The Smokey Mary Boogie Woogie Cho Cho Train."
