Orleans sheriff's deputy captures suspect moments after rush-hour shooting
New Orleans Police today say an Orleans Parish Deputy Sheriff witnessed a fight between two men escalate into a shooting this morning, near the intersection of North Claiborne and Esplanade avenues.
It happened in the middle of rush-hour traffic at the crowded intersection. According to police, the deputy saw the fight, heard a gunshot, then saw one of the men with a gun.
