Two dead in New Orleans overnight shootings

New Orleans Police say two people were killed in separate shootings overnight and at least three others were injured.

The incidents took place in New Orleans East and the Hoffman Triangle.
 

According to a police spokesman, up to four people were shot in the 2800 block of South Roman around 3 a.m.

The exact number of victims was still unclear, but a woman was killed in that shooting.

Police have not released many details on the incident.

Earlier, shortly after 2 a.m., a 28-year-old man was shot to death in the parking lot of a lounge in the 4300 block of Downman Road, in New Orleans East.
 

The victim was found lying on the ground, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He died later at the hospital.
