Reward in excess for $10K for info on dolphin killers
Chris Miller Reporting
Dead and mutilated dolphins found on the Gulf coast have marine investigators stymied. An advocacy group hopes reward money will help generate some leads.
The investigation really could uses some leads, says Courtney Vail of the Whale and Dolphin conservation society.
"We are reliant on the public, we are reliant on whistleblowers and others that have information that have witnessed these activities," Vail said. "We will be announcing a higher reward and it will be over $10,000."
Since the summer, dead dolphins have been found with bullet holes, body parts sliced off and one was even reported with a screwdriver stuck in its head.
