Gunman sought in Saturday morning French Quarter shooting



New Orleans Police Eighth District Detectives are asking for the public's assistance in locating the gunman who shot a man Saturday morning at the intersection of Decatur and Bienville Street.  

According to police, a member of the victim's family was involved in a fight at a nearby club at or about 2:15 a.m.

Police say the victim began walking towards Bienville Street towards the river when one of the subjects involved in the fight began to fire multiple shots at the victim striking him in the buttocks. His injuries are non-life threatening.

The perpetrator is described as a black male, approximately 5’09” tall with a slim build, medium complexion, wearing a dark shirt and blue jeans.

Surveillance video in the area captured the gunman and the person of interest leaving the scene.

Crimestoppers is offering up to a $2,500 reward for information leading to the arrest and indictment of the person(s) responsible.Gunman sought in Saturday morning French Quarter shooting
