According to the sheriff's office, a man died in a drive-by shooting near the intersection of Wall Boulevard and North Carlisle Drive by the Oakdale Playground.
The unidentified male victim was found unresponsive in the driver's seat of a Nissan Sentra around 8 p.m. Friday.
According to the sheriff's office, the car came to a stop in the 2700 block of North Carlisle. Witnesses said the Sentra was headed south on Wall when a darker colored vehicle pulled next to it and the person inside opened fire on the Sentra.
The victim was taken to University Hospital in New Orleans where he was pronounced dead.
