VIDEO: Cameras capture French Quarter robbery & shooting



The NOPD says an early-morning armed robbery and shooting at a Bourbon Street strip club was caught on surveillance video.  Investigators are now asking for the public's help in identifying the suspected gunman.  (Scroll down to view the video.) 

An NOPD spokesman  describes what happened in the 400 block of Bourbon around 5:20 a.m.:  "The victim was finalizing the books from the previous evening. An unknown male entered the establishment and headed straight for the manager's office. The subject fired several rounds into the door of the manger's office and then kicked the door in. The subject entered the manager's office, fired one shot which struck the victim in the right thigh. The subject then ransacked the office taking all of the cash. The subject then fled on Bourbon towards St. Louis and then on St. Louis towards the river. "
 
Investigators say the suspect is described as a male, approximately 5'10" -6'00" tall with a medium build. He was wearing a mask. and a dark baseball cap, a black jacket, blue jeans and dark shoes. 
 
A spokesman says the injuries are "not life threatening."
