Saints playoff hopes fading quickly

After what happened in Denver, even the most optimistic Saints fans are losing hope for any chance at the team making the playoffs this season. Voice of the Saints Jim Henderson said he'd like to remain optimistic about the post season, but says he has to consider reality, too.

''I haven't seen enough of this team through seven games to make me think they're a playoff contender," Henderson told WWL First News.  "They are just too deficient in too many areas outside the quarterback.''

Listen to voice of the Saints Jim Henderson:

Henderson said the Saints are struggling in too many areas.

''The Saints just don't have anything else besides Drew Brees, on defense, they are not a defense that can stop the run or the pass,'' said Henderson.

And being dependent on Brees, Henderson said when he's having an off day the results are obvious. As for the change at head coach to Joe Vitt he said he doubts a head coach outside of Sean Payton to make much of a difference right.
