One of their teammates is speaking out.
"Seeing this happen is just upsetting," former LSU offensive lineman T-Bob Hebert (above) said. "I know how quickly everybody, including media and everything, will turn on you and try to make you look like a terrible person."
He insists that Tyrann Mathieu, Jordan Jefferson, Karnell Hatcher and Derrick Bryant are not bad people.
"These are great guys."
Hebert says that football players are held to a higher standard.
"How many people smoke weed? A ton," he stated. "These kids just got it trouble for it, and they happen to be LSU football players, or they were LSU football players so it becomes a big deal."
In the end, he says, he hopes all four of his ex-teammates mature as a result of their arrests.
"I hope that they learn from this and come out stronger," Hebert said, noting he grew as a person as a result of his recent DWI.
