Peyton Manning can't get Facebook page because his name is Peyton Manning

A 14-year-old Littleton, Colorado boy named Peyton Manning can't get a Facebook page under that name because Facebook assumes he is a celebrity impersonator.

Mick and Kim Manning tell NFL.com that the decided to name their son Peyton because they were impressed with how quarterback Peyton Manning decided to forgo the NFL draft after his junior year at Tennessee and keep playing for the Vols.  Their son Peyton was born in September 1998 just a few days before the other Peyton played his first regular season game with the Indianapolis Colts.

Of course, who would have thought that 14 year later we'd have this thing called "online social networks," ones with rules set up to keep people from trying to glom on to someone's celebrity by registering membership in their name?

And now Peyton Manning is quarterback of the hometown Broncos and the younger Manning finally got his Facebook account -- by using his first and middle name instead of his more well-known surname.
