Huge festival weekend

Big and  little festivals all over the New Orleans area this weekend.  The big ones include the Louisiana Seafood Festival at WoldenbergPark on the riverfront.  Not far away is the Crescent City Blues and Barbecue Fest at Lafayette Square also with live music and incredible eating.

Blues Fest spokesman Scott Aiges said they're hoping for big crowds.

"All day Saturday and Sunday from 11 to 8 both days with two stages of music, lots of great barbecue and a huge arts market,'' Aiges said.

On the Northshore it's the annual Wooden Boat Festival, which does feature about 100 wooden boats for viewing and touring.

''Live music starting at 6 p.m. we have a children's village and we have something called the quick and dirty boat building contest,'' said festival organizer Louise Saenz.

The New Orleans riverfront will have live music and incredible eating all weekend with the Louisiana Seafood Festival.
