Big weekend for festivals in SE Louisiana



It's that time of the year!  Festivals across South Louisiana celebrating everything from gumbo to BBQ to seafood.  Scroll down to see the full list of weekend festivals and events. 

Friday, Saturday, and Sunday:

Crescent City Blues and BBQ Festival, Lafayette Square, New Orleans.  Free admission. 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday, 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Saturday & Sunday.  Click HERE for more information.

Louisiana Seafood Festival, Woldenberg Riverfront Park in New Orleans.  Free admission.   Friday 12:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., Saturday & Sunday 11:00 a.m. to 10 p.m.  Click HERE for more information.

St. Mary Magdalen Seafood Festival, 6425 West Metairie.  Free admission.  Friday 6:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., Saturday 12:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., Sunday 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.  Click HERE for more information.

Bridge City Gumbo Festival, Gumbo Festival Park.  Free admission.  Friday 6:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., Sunday 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.  Click HERE for more information.

World Championship Gumbo Cookoff, Boulingny Plaza, New Iberia.  Free admission. Friday 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., Saturday 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., Sunday 9:45 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.  Click HERE for more information.

Louisiana Gumbo Festival, Chackbay.  Free admission.  Friday 6:00 p.m. to midnight, Saturday 11:00 a.m. to midnight, and Sunday 12:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.  Click HERE for more information.

Friday and Saturday:

Oktoberfest:  Rivertown at 415 Williams Boulevard in Kenner.  Admission $6.  Friday 4:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., Saturday 2:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.  Click HERE for more information.

Saturday and Sunday:

Wooden Boat Festival, Madisonville, at the Lake Pontchartrain Basin Maritime Museum, 133 Mabel Drive.  Tickets are $10 per person, $5 for seniors over 65 and free for children under 12 and uniformed military personnel.   Saturday and Sunday 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.  Click HERE for more information.
