Hornets 97 Bobcats 82



New Orleans, LA (Sports Network) - Anthony Davis led all scorers with 22 points as the New Orleans Hornets took a 97-82 win over the Charlotte Bobcats in preseason play.

The top overall pick of the 2012 draft, Davis shot 9-for-18 and added nine rebounds for the Hornets, who improved to 2-0 on the preseason. Robin Lopez added 18 points and 13 rebounds while Ryan Anderson had 15 points off the bench in the win.

Ben Gordon had 15 points, Byron Mullens added 14 points and six boards while Michael Kidd-Gilchrist and Kemba Walker each posted 10 points for the Bobcats, who are 1-1 in the preseason.

Charlotte posted 29 points in the second quarter while limiting New Orleans to just 11 to take a 57-46 lead into the break.

Davis, though, took over in the third quarter as he posted 15 points and pulled down five rebounds to help the Hornets take a 74-65 lead into the final frame.

New Orleans led by as many as 19 in the final frame
