"We finally can announce the winner of the third-annual Best Sports Bar in North America contest!" an ESPN.com article says. "And the winner is... Walk-On's Bistreaux & Bar in New Orleans!"
It comes after on-line mobile voting narrowed down the competition.
"The Louisiana sports bar beat out the fierce competition with an extensive social media campaign and an embedded link featured prominently on their website. Their loyal fan base took to the polls in droves and the editorial board was impressed by their extensive food and beer selection, plethora of TVs and, most importantly, extreme dedication by their patrons," ESPN said.
As a prize ESPN will throw a party at the bar on Poydras Street near the Superdome.
"Walk-On's will receive a celebration by ESPN Mobile at a soon-to-be determined date and, of course, bragging rights for their continental dominance!"
