Award-winning film director, producer and actor Spike Lee has launched a new campaign in New Orleans.  It's all about murder in the black community.

It's called "Flip the Script."

Lee says, "We have to get to a point where we convince our young black men that they should expect to live past 18 years old."

The reknowned African American activist says black on black murder must be stopped.

"Black men are killing other young black men, and I think it's a form of genocide,"  Lee insisted.

New Orleans Mayor Mitch Landrieu says the community has just grown to accept blacks killing blacks.

"The idea here is to try to find a way to get outraged about that, for them and for us."
