Officer Frank Robertson says the man flew over the side of the elevated roadway.
"Once he struck the guard rail he was ejected off of the interstate and landed on ground level here on Claiborne," Robertson explained. "We estimate probably like a 38 foot drop from the interstate to the ground."
He says the man did not survive the fall.
"The 29-year-old male victim was pronounced dead on the scene."
