Maybe it would have helped 1-2 Green Bay, changing their record to 2-1 after that questionably-called Hail Mary in their loss to Seattle, but for the most part, fans think the bad calls by inexperienced replacement refs evened out.
"Bad calls go both ways," one fan told WWL First News. "It's not like they were targeting us or targeting other teams, they just made bad calls."
"I don't think that the calls have been a major factor in the better teams losing games," said another, although he acknowledge that aforementioned Packers-Seahawks game could be an exception.
But there are fans who think the Black & Gold might not be winless had a more experienced crew been officiating.
"A lot of pushing and just stuff that wasn't called that should have been called," one woman said. "I think it's going to help our team. We've been given a lot of bad breaks lately."
