Mahalia Jackson Elementary was on lockdown this morning after family members found their missing relative's dead body near the school.  

Police say family members reported him missing yesterday after he never returned to New Orleans East from a Sunday night second line, which is the same area where there had been a double shooting reported, but cops couldn't find a second victim.  

Officer Frank Robertson says, "They went out themselves to try locate the individual and he was found in the shrubbery nears the school."

School officials say the lockdown was precautionary and that the students neither saw the body or are aware of what's been going on outside the school's protective fencing.
