Initially, there will be 3 crews working to remove storm debris with 2 crews assigned to eastern St. Bernard, outside the levee protection system, and 1 crew assigned to the western end.
ALL property owners are asked to remove all storm debris off their personal property to the Parish "right-of-way". Please DO NOT put any debris on or close to: fire hydrants, mailboxes or water meters.

ST. BERNARD PARISH IS DECLARING A “BOIL ORDER” FOR ALL AREAS LOCATED OUTSIDE OF THE HURRICANE PROTECTION AREA
Effective Immediately, St. Bernard Parish President, David E. Peralta, is declaring a “BOIL ORDER” on water for all areas located outside of the Hurricane Protection Levee due to lack of water pressure and infiltration.
This order will include the following areas: Florissant, Delacroix, Reggio, Alluvial City, Shell Beach, Hopedale, and Yscloskey.

In St. Bernard Parish residents can pick up ice, water, Tarps and MRE’s at 8315 W. Judge Perez Drive in the Sav-A-Center parking lot next to Lowes in Chalmette or 1200 E. LA 46, Poydras in the Gauthier School parking lot.

St. Bernard Parish Officials are assessing damage caused by Hurricane Isaac. Parish Government crews continue to clear trees and debris from the roadways. The phone lines are down in the government building so residents will have to email questions or concerns to lduplessis@sbpg.net.
As a result of the loss of power to the sewer lift stations residents are asked to minimize water usage and limit flushing of the toilets.
St. Bernard Parish Government Emergency Operations Center will continue to work around the clock for the duration of the event.
Parish officials will continue to provide updates to the public as time and resources allow.

St. Bernard Parish President David E. Peralta has extended the parish-wide curfew currently in effect until 6:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 30, 2012. This parish-wide curfew is mandated for resident’s safety during the storm event. Parish crews are working throughout the parish removing debris and down trees.
St. Bernard Parish Emergency Operations Center will continue to work around the clock for the duration of the event and can be reached at 504-278-4268.

St. Bernard Parish officials are asking people to limit water usage at the present time.
Nearly 13,000 homes are without power, according to Entergy.
Parish President David Peralta said there were many flooded streets but that he had, as of 8:12 a.m., received no reports of water in any homes.

St. Bernard Parish President David E. Peralta along with Councilmembers and Sheriff James Pohlmann have imposed a parish-wide curfew beginning tonight at 8:00 p.m. August 28, 2012 until 6:00 p.m., August 29, 2012. Residents are mandated to adhere to this curfew.
This parish-wide curfew is mandated for resident’s safety during the storm event.

Residents are asked to take precautions to prepare for the severe weather threat due to Tropical Storm Isaac. St. Bernard Parish Sheriff's Office will be providing sandbags to St. Bernard Parish residents only at the St. Bernard Port Facility from 12:00 Noon to 6:00 p.m. today.
St. Bernard Parish President David Peralta has announced government offices will be closed as of 1:00 p.m. today for normal operations. Essential Personnel will remain at work to handle storm related issues only. Regular operations are expected to resume on Thursday, August 30, 2012.
The St. Bernard Parish Office of Emergency Preparedness is in full operation and will remain open until all weather associated threats have diminished. Residents may call the St. Bernard OEP Office at 504-278-4268.

- St. Bernard Parish President David E. Peralta issued an Executive Order declaring a State of Emergency as a result of the forecasted conditions of Tropical Storm Isaac. President Peralta stated the parish officials are in constant communications with the National Weather Service and surrounding key agencies to monitor the current weather situation.
- President Peralta urges St. Bernard residents to carefully monitor the weather and the media updates. “Although the integrity of our levee system is better than it has ever been, we want citizens to implement their individual emergency preparation plans,” said President Peralta
- Currently, St. Bernard Parish is operating at full drainage and pumping capacity. President Peralta said “Drainage canals have been pumped down to add additional storage capacity.” Public Works’ crews are implementing all emergency preparation plans and pre-staging additional pumps for problem areas.
- The St. Bernard Parish Emergency Operations Center will be in full operation as of 8:00 a.m. Monday morning, August 27, 2012 and shall remain open until the termination of the State of Emergency.
- It is highly recommended that owners of boats and trailers secure their property no later than Monday afternoon. Marine traffic should seek safe harbor.
- All residents should secure any loose items around their homes and pick up any debris that may cause obstructions to the drainage catch basins in their neighborhoods.
