WWL-TV reports that according to the Covington Police Department, a Covington High school student is in Ochsner Hospital following "serious injuries" after a beating.
According to the report, Covington PD Capt. Jack West said officers were called to the school this morning at about 7:30 about a fight between two boys.
The report says that one boy was taken to St. Tammany Hospital, then transferred to Ochsner on the Southshore.
The other boy was reportedly sent to the Florida Parish Juvenile Center and charged with attempted second-degree murder and second-degree robbery.
