Former Louisiana Governor Edwin Edwards celebrates his 85th birthday today.  It includes cameras following his every move for a pending TV show.

"They've been living with us... and it's been almost a 24-7 endeavor," Edwards explained. "For the past ten days, we've been almost completely involved in filming that."

He says what viewers will eventually see is his real life with his 32-year-old wife, Trina Scott Edwards.

"The reality show, in my mind, is a reality," Edwards insisted.

The idea has been in the works since shortly after Edwards was released from federal prison where he was serving a then years sentence.  He then go married.

Edwards announced this week that he and his wife want to have a baby.

"I recognize that people will raise their eyebrows," he said.  "Other 85-year-old men have fathered children...  It's something that the two of us wish to do."
