More flooding rain possible through weekend

All of Southeast Louisiana is under a flash flood watch through Saturday night, as a low-pressure system steers more tropical moisture toward our area.

WWL-TV meteorologist Derek Kevra says that most of our area should expect two to four more inches of rain on Saturday, with some areas receiving as much as six to eight inches.

Some parts of the Metro area received over ten inches of rain on Friday.

In addition to the 70% chance of rain, some areas may also see strong thunderstorms.  On Friday, more than 50,000 Entergy customers lost power due to the strong storms and intense lightning.
