Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff Daniel Edwards says his office has arrested a man for allegedly having videos showing the sexual assault of children.

"A search of the residence revealed the presence of multiple videos of children being sexually assaulted.  Included in the suspected child pornography recovered from the... residence was a video depicting a child approximately eight years old engaged in graphic sexual activity," spokeswoman Dawn Panepinto said in a news release.

Cops working an online, undercover sting lead them to the house.

"On July 12, 2012, sheriff's detectives assisted by Hammond Police and Federal Homeland Security Agents executed a search warrant at the Young residence after an investigation lead detectives to believe that images of child pornography were being collected at the residence," Panepinto said.

They arrested 27-year-old Alex Neil Young (above).

Investigators say he lives at  East Charles Street #2 in Hammond.

"After completing their search, detectives arrested Young for possession of child pornography and he was transported to the Tangipahoa Parish Jail for booking," Panepinto said.
