Louisiana's unique culture is once again going to be shown off to a national audience as a new show debut's tonight at 9pm Central Time on A&E. It's called "Cajun Justice."
The cop show follows Terrebonne Parish Sheriff Vernon Bourgeois and his deputies as they patrol the one-of-a-kind region. Bourgeois says this is no ordinary cop show.
"When we work, we work hard... but when we get to play, we play hard... you'll see that in many of the episodes," Bourgeois explained.
''Cajun Justice' is a character-driven docudrama unlike any other nonfiction cop show," David McKillop, Executive Vice President of Programming for A&E, said in a news release. "We are thrilled to introduce viewers to this fascinating, strange and dangerous world they have never seen before."
The cable network adds that "as the heat and humidity rises, so does the crime rate and bizarre behavior."
