It's going to be a Super day for eating

While many New Orleans-area residents will be busy in the kitchen working on favorite food treats for the Super Bowl, many others won't be cooking at all. Spokeswoman Erica Papillion, of the The National Restaurant Association, reports it's a huge day for eateries of all kinds.

''About 48 million Americans will get takeout or delivery for the big game, while around 12 million are expected to visit a restaurant or a bar on Sunday,''
said Papillion.

Papillion says for the first time chicken wings have edged out pizza as the most popular Super Bowl treat.

''Only by a small margin though, I think it's kind of still even but some people, they may get pizza and chicken,'' she explained.

Papillion says in the New Orleans area, po'-boys and king cakes are very popular.
