More arrests expected in FD credit card probe

Investigators say their work is not over probing the case of officials with the Harvey Volunteer Fire Company #2 allegedly using tax dollars to pay for lavish family trips, lots of booze and more.

The first arrest is not expected to be the last.

The Metro Crime Commission expects at least one more top official to land behind bars and says other arrests may be coming soon over alleged misuse of Jefferson Parish credit cards for things including family vacations, expensive meals and a lot of alcohol.

Crime Commission VP Anthony Radosti hopes the arrest of fire department Deputy Chief Mike Reason and the ongoing probe sends a message that police won't tolerate this.

Radosti tells WWL TV the suspects somehow believed the public money was theirs to spend on themselves.
