Edwin Edwards is doing better after he was hospitalized with pneumonia.  The Former Louisiana Governor's wife is providing updates on her 84-year-old husband.

"Edwin is out of ICU and we are settled into a room," she posted on her facebook page.  "Hopefully we can get some rest."

Hundreds of people also posted well wishes to the Edwards' family on the page.

"Thank you all so much. I can not begin to explain what all of your prayers and support means to me!"  Trina replied.

Edwards served four terms as governor.  The only person to ever do that.

After his final term, he served more than eight years in federal prison.  He was convicted on charges including racketeering, for fixing the riverboat casino licensing process.

After he served six months of home detention in July of 2011, he married Trina Grimes Scott the same month.  She wrote Edwards after reading his biography and the started visiting him in prison.  Trina Edwards is the former governor's third wife.
