It's a big day for comic fans in the Crescent City and thousands of them will be at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center this weekend to see celebrities and memorabilia.
It's the Wizard World New Orleans Comic Con, part of North America's largest pop-culture touring expo.
Fans will mingle with the Incredible Hulk star, Lou Ferrigno and the former captain of the starship Enterprise, William Shatner will also be signing autographs.
The fans are part of the fun, as a host of costumed comic book, vampire and sci-fi fans descend on the Convention Center to celebrate what organizers say is the best in pop culture: movies, comics, toys, video gaming, television, gaming, original art, collectibles, contests and more.
Organizers say there's everything from autograph sessions to Jedi lightsaber master classes. Although the Captain of the Starship Enterprise is famous for his over 50 years of film work, he is not the only 'big shot' coming to town.
Organizers say this is a small sample of the artists and personalities coming to the convention:
Peter Mayhew, the actor who played Chewbacca in Star Wars
Adam Baldwin - Full Metal Jacket, Independence Day, Chuck, Stargate, The X-Files,
James Marsters - Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Torchwood, Caprica,
Mary McDonnell - Dances With Wolves, Battlestar Galactica, Passion,
