Black & Gold Day

Mayor Mitch Landrieu has displayed his Saints spirit and declared today "Black and Gold Day" in New Orleans.

He's encouraging all people who live, work and attend school in New Orleans to show their support as the Saints prepare to take on the 49ers tomorrow.

And, it looks like the fans have taken it to heart.

Folks downtown are not only wearing the team's colors...they're wearing Saints pride and confidence.

What are they saying about Saturday night's battle on the bay?

"Oh, definitely a win...10 to 14 point victory."

"49ers? Who dat? We gonna tear 'em down!"

"They gonna blow San Francisco out, man!"

"Ain't nobody beatin' us! Who Dat Nation!"

And, no one seemed to think the Saints will suffer any homesickness.

The fans think the traveling Saints will find Candlestick no sticking point.

"Didn't you hear Drew Brees? 60 degrees? That's perfect!"

"No problem playing on the road. Not even worried. The offense is just too powerful."

"Drew Brees, just like he's at home in the Saints' dome, gonna step all over those 49ers."

And, at least one fan thinks all Saints fans should plan a road trip.

"Reserve your hotel room for the Super Bowl."
