Kristian's quick hits: Saints should beat Lions in a shootout

Vilma:

Saints middle linebacker Jon Vilma (knee) is officially listed as probable for Sunday night's game against Detroit.  Vilma has missed the last 3 games nursing a knee injury.   Jo-Lonn Dunbar filled in for Vilma in the middle and played extremely well.  Dunbar will slide over to the strong side linebacking position with Vilma returning to the lineup.

Lions Offense Can't Hang:

Detroit can score points with an explosive offense, but they can't keep up with the Saints.  Wide receiver Calvin Johnson will be a handful.  He's going to make his plays, but in the end I think the difference is the Lions lack of depth at running back.  They've lost Jahvid Best for the season and Kevin Smith is also out for Sunday.  Detroit's inability to effectively run the ball proves to be the difference here.

Prediction:

I like the Saints to win in a wild game here. I think it will be a close one: 34 to 31.  Buckle up!  Watch how fast the score board churns out the numbers.
