A tropical depression has formed in the southern Caribbean Sea.  TD 18 is forecast to become a tropical storm soon.

National Hurricane Center forecasters expect the system to stay out of the Gulf of Mexico and go ashore in Central America.

Nearly every computer model agrees on that track.

The forecast calls for the depression to become a tropical storm tonight or tomorrow.
