The New Orleans Pelicans beat the San Antonio Spurs 122-98 in their regular season finale at the Smoothie King Center tonight.
That win, coupled by the Oklahoma City Thunder's victory tonight against Memphis, locks the Pelicans into a first round playoff matchup against the Portland Trailblazers. Because of (very confusing) tiebreakers, the Pelicans will be either the #5 or #6 seed in the Western Conference. In both of those scenarios they'll face Portland in the 1st round of the NBA playoffs, which begin this Saturday.

The Blazers are in action tonight against the Utah Jazz. If the Blazers win they'll be the #3 seed and play the #6 seeded Pelicans. If they lose to the Jazz, the Blazers will be the #4 seed and face the #5 seeded Pelicans. Portland will have home court advantage against New Orleans in either of those scenarios.
