The Saints remain busy trying to retool their roster ahead of free agency kicking off next week.  The Advocate reports the Saints are visiting with free agent defensive lineman Muhammad Wilkerson.  The seven year veteran was released by the Jets this off-season after a falling out with the club.  Wilkerson was once one of the most dominant players at his position but went through a protracted contract dispute in New York with Jets, and became disgruntled. Wilkerson notched 12 sacks in 2015, but his production dropped of significantly in 2016 and 2017 with just 4.5 sacks and 3.5 sacks in respective years.

The Saints would be wise if they can afford him to not let him get out of town. He can still play, and would be a solid fit on this roster and address a need along the defensive line.
