Kristian: Saints offense has all of the pieces to make a Super Bowl run

By and large Saints QB Drew Brees didn't have to carry the team offensively during any game this season, that changed in the NFC Wild Card win over the Panthers.

With Carolina taking away the dynamic running back tandem of Mark Ingram and Alvin Kamara, Brees heated up his right arm and went to work tossing two touchdowns and 375 yards to eight different receivers.

Brees proved he's still very capable of carving up defenses if they choose to take away other aspects of the offense.

This has me super excited!

For weeks I lamented the fact the Saints didn't have a tight end to threaten the middle of the field.  Well, Josh Hill dispelled that notion with one touchdown reception.

I was concerned the Saints offense didn't have enough complimentary play makers aside from Kamara, Michael Thomas, and Ingram in the passing game.  That was dispelled yesterday in the win.

This is why I'm very excited about the Saints and a big run in the playoffs.

Defenses now have something else to think about.  Do we sell out to stop the run and put our secondary at risk? Or, do we stop the pass and allow the Saints to get the running game going?

That's a dangerous proposition.

With the depth and diversity in the Saints offense, it wouldn't at all surprise me if the Saints play in Minnesota for a third time in early February.

Yep! I said it!
