The Saints are on an absolute roll winning four straight games, yet some are asking how legit they are.  My Twitter timeline is jammed with those questions, and more like...yeah but they're doing it against teams that don't have a great quarterback.  Hello! Mathew Stafford? He doesn't count? Sure he does. I get some of the questions especially about the QB's they've face.  However, what was the achillies heal of the Saints defenses of the past three years? They had a knack for letting average at best quarterbacks look like John Elway.  That's not happening this year.  The defense is legit! The Saints are giving up an average of 17 points per game in their four game winning streak.  If you hold your opponent to that point total regularly you're going to win a ton of games.

What's more? Still not in on the Saints? You should be.  Listen to this - New Orleans has four straight wins all of them by nine points or more! That's insane, that is domination! The average margin of victory in the NFL is 3 points. That's an average of 16 point differential! That doesn't happen often in the league.  Still not sold? Forcing turnovers are a bit of knack, and the Saints have forced at least one turnover in four straight games.  Another sign of a really good defense.  Population to the football on defense. When was the last time we've seen that? Multiple defenders arriving at the football.  Good defense tackle well! The Saints check the box.

I'm not going to bore you with offensive numbers, we know what kind of offense the Saints have.  The special teams units are much improved this season. Another sign of um, ahem, a playoff team.  Check that! One of the best teams in the conference!  You heard me, I said it. The Saints schedule is extremely favorable down the stretch.  New Orleans will likely be favored in 9 out of the final 10 games of the season, with two games remaining against the one hit wonder Atlanta Falcons, two with the pretending Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and one more the also ran Carolina Panthers. Outside of that...who on this remaining schedule makes you nervous? The Rams, Redskins, Bills, Jets? I don't think so.

In the spirit of Halloween this is no trick, let's enjoy the treat! The Saints could be the scariest thing in the NFL right now!
