CB Crawley expecting to play vs. Panthers

Lattimore, Armstead are questionable

One day after being limited in practice, CB Marshon Lattimore (ankle) missed practice today.  CB Ken Crawley (abdomen) was limited again today and said, "Looks like I'm going to go this week," after practice. LT Terron Armstead (shoulder/Quad), TE Coby Fleener (concussion) and S Marcus Williams (groin) were among the four players that missed practice today for the Saints. Lattimore's ankle injury held him out of last week's loss to the Rams, and it looks like he could miss another game this week against the Panthers.  Tomorrow will obviously be a big indication if he's able to play on Sunday.

The Saints were without Lattimore in the first match up against the Panthers, a 31-13 win back in week three.  The secondary is really banged up right now with Marcus Williams, Crawley and Lattimore currently on the injury report. If Williams can't go this week, I would expect Vonn Bell to play a larger roll at free safety, and Rafael Bush to have a bigger roll at strong safety.  The bottom line is every team at this point is hardly full strength at this juncture of the season, so the Saints will be tested by their next man up philosophy they employ.

Also, the Saints offensive line has dealt with their fair share of injuries this season, and with left tackle Terron Armstead missing practice on back to back days I would expect Andrus Peat to kick out to left tackle this week and Senio Kalmete to play left guard.  That offensive line combination has faired well this season when Armstead has missed time with injuries.
